My expertise revolves around the art of body shape profiling and the thoughtful curation of personalised wardrobe edits that truly “spark joy.” I take pride in navigating you through the enchanting world of fashion, seamlessly introducing you to the season's most captivating trends and stunning accessories to complement your outfit choices.
Offering a personal luxury style experience, I draw upon my extensive knowledge of high-end fashion brands and emerging designers, expertly blending style and accessibility. My ultimate goal is to empower you to embrace and celebrate your style personality, helping you confidently express the best version of yourself.
I embarked on my fashion career at the iconic Harrods, where I worked as a brand specialist, representing esteemed designers like Donna Karan and other international talents. I followed my passion for fashion after graduating from Royal Holloway University in 2000, where I earned a 2:1 honours degree in Social Policy and Politics.
My next step felt like a natural progression, leading me to Brown's, a cutting-edge clothing boutique on the fashionable South Molton Street. There, I had the privilege of working alongside the legendary co-founder, Mrs. Joan Burstein, whose exceptional buying skills transformed the boutique into a treasure trove of previously undiscovered designers such as Donna Karan, John Galliano, and Vivienne Westwood. This experience proved to be an invaluable foundation, enriching my understanding of fashion and deepening my passion for the industry.
Two years later, I was presented with an extraordinary opportunity to step into the role of a personal shopper at Selfridges, one of the world's most renowned department stores. Collaborating with Trinny and Susannah and styling an eclectic mix of clients, each with unique tastes and personalities, boosted my creative zeal. I soon discovered that personal styling went beyond the simple act of assembling outfits; it was about truly understanding my customers and empowering individuals with low self-esteem to embrace their beauty and gain confidence in themselves.
In 2005, I took a bold leap of faith and launched a personal shopping company, Style Icon. This endeavour allowed me to spread my wings and travel the globe in pursuit of fashion inspiration. Leaving the comforting security of a nine-to-five job to build my business from scratch was undoubtedly a risk. Still, I felt prepared and resolute, willing to make the necessary sacrifices to support my dream financially. Between 2011 and 2013, I began mentoring students and delivering engaging retail courses. This experience inspired me to complete a PGCE course and collaborate with the Fashion Retail Academy in central London to develop an 'Introduction to Personal Styling' course.
Since the launch of Style Icon, I have enjoyed a multitude of styling opportunities, enabling me to cater to the diverse lifestyle needs of professionals through wardrobe decluttering, bespoke personal styling, and red-carpet styling for prestigious charities such as WellChild and the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Through various dynamic styling projects and collaborations, I received a Diamond Special Recognition Award Worldwide in 2023 for my work in empowering women and youth through fashion, among other accolades. Addtionally, in March 2025, I was nominated for a Power of a Woman Award, a testament to my dedication and impact in the fashion world.
