Style Icon’s The Fashion Word: Charlotte Olympia’s ABC Collection
Known for her creative flair when it comes to footwear we held high expectations upon visiting the 56 Maddox Street store. Small yet efficiently filled with unique Charlotte Olympia designs we were impressed with the collections on display and the delicate yet non-intrusive decorative additions. This store is no generic, conventional shoe shop, and neither may we add is Charlotte Olympia’s new ‘ABC’ capsule collection. But this of course is what we expected.
Designed with quality and fun in mind we see these ABC flats as the number one accessory this spring. Great when worn with jeans and a camisole, Charlotte Olympia’s latest creations will add a pop of colour and style to any outfit. We have our eyes on the “I heart you” pair …shhh.
If you fancy treating yourself to Charlotte Olympia’s personalised pumps from which there are seven shades and fifty-two adhesive stickers to choose from head to Net-a-porter where they will be sold exclusively at £495. Whilst thought should go into every fashion decision, make sure to be certain on your choice of shade, alphabet and illustration before committing to a purchase. As once those stickers are sewn on to these luscious leather flats they are sealed forever.
Outside of the collection we were pleased to see the iconic kitty style designs in boot form, as well as the adorable mother-daughter versions. Though her shoes continue to amaze, her clutches are not easily ignored as they continue to inspire with the gold-lipped attache among our favourites. For those artistically inclined there is a Kandinsky-esque pochette waiting to be adorned at the right gallery opening.
A chic cheetah cookie and elderflower cocktail later we make our way out of the shop left with a great urge to pay another visit. We are sure you will have a similar desire too.
