Style Icon’s The Fashion Word
Welcome everybody to Style Icon’s The Fashion Word bringing you more exciting news about celebrity style, fashion, and events around the fashion globe!! For those of you who missed the Emmys, don’t worry as Style Icon will showcase some of the best dressed celebrities right here!! Not only that, we have trawled the internet to find a few high street replicas of our favourite red carpet looks from the Emmys. There was “No Doubt” in my mind that Gwen Stefani would look nothing but stunning opting for a beautiful Versace ensemble made from minute Swarvoski crystals. Style Icon loved this look as it makes a change from wearing a classic red dress on the red carpet. Gwen Stefani was a bit more daring in her outfit choice as I expect this Versace number isn’t easy to pull off especially if you’re on the curvier side, and have ample cleavage!! This outfit is made to skim over one’s silhouette and it did just that on Gwen Stefani.
Get the look!!! Boohoo.com have a classy white dress with a side slit!! Very slinky indeed, and definitely not for the fate hearted. For only £25 you’ll look just as sexy as Gwen Stefani. An outfit isn’t complete without the right accessories so head down to Kurt Geiger where you’ll find these amazing Gabriel sandals in gold for £95. Lastly, J Crew have this simple beveled bangle in gold for only £68. This is a fashion hit!!! Gwen Stefani reminds Style Icon of Debbie Harry from Blondie known for her eclectic style and bold personality. The band was a pioneer in the early American new wave and punk scenes of the mid-1970s.
Style Icon thought Kerry Washington looked absolutely stunning at the Emmys opting for an orange Prada gown!! Simple, elegant and with a bit of sparkle, Kerry looked like a fashion queen on the red-carpet without trying too hard.
Get the look!!! Style Icon came across this asymmetrical hem dress from Coggles.com for a whopping £147. Colour blocking always creates a great contrast and plays homage to classic fashion trends!! Why not opt for blue accessories instead of black just like Kerry Washington did which appear less harsh!!! Hobbs have a lovely blue clutch for £65. Team with a pair of Adelite Glitter high heels from Lucy Choi London for £185!!! There you have it, a red carpet look that oozes Hollywood glamour!!! Speaking of which, Kerry Washington reminds Style Icon of Angela Bassett; one of Hollywood’s finest actresses!! Angela Bassett became well known for her biographical film roles portraying real-life women including Tina Turner in What’s Love Got to Do with it.
