Whilst London gets ready for London Fashion Week there seems to be a lot of action taking place in Hollywood especially in terms of red carpet glamour!! The Emmys took place last night with the likes of Julia Roberts, January Jones, Gwen Stefani, and Gwyneth Paltrow gracing the red carpet!! More news to follow on this!! But first, let’s take a look at what some of our favourite Style Icons wore at The Teen Choice Awards 2014!! Kim Kardashian opted for a monochrome look oozing sophistication but yet a subtle sexiness!! You can never go wrong with a black and white ensemble!! Wardrobe staples such as a black dress, skirt or trousers can save the day if you have nothing to wear or forgot to take your usual “save the day” outfits to the dry cleaners. You can easily mix and match such pieces with accessories and still look as though you’re not trying too hard in the fashion stakes.
Get the look!!! Check out Alice + Olivia’s Leather crop top in black!! You can wear this staple with anything!! Very accessible indeed!! You can pick this up for £300. Team with Motel Rocks’ Annie A Line Mini Skirt in Zebra Print Fur for a whopping £15. To complete this contemporary monochrome look head down to Miss Selfridge where you’ll find a pair of cream block heels for £39. This look would be great for fashion week. You’ll look like a fashionable star as well as stand out as one of the leaders of the fashion pack!!! Style Icon couldn’t help but spot a resemblance between Kim Kardashian’s curvaceous body shape and Dita Von Teese. Both play homage to the hourglass shape that sends out a positive message to women and young adults to embrace their curves!! Dita Von Teese was classically trained as a ballet dancer who later incorporated this element into her burlesque shows!!
The other Style Icon who rocked the red carpet at The Teen Choice Awards was Nina Dobrev who looked rather playful in a matching top and shorts ensemble!! Looking young and hip, this outfit screams contemporary fashion!!!

Team with Mara Hoffman’s multi coloured crop racer for £113. Miu Miu never fail in offering scrumptious eye candy!! Get a pair of their pink pumps for £400. Pretty expensive but Style Icon suggest waiting for the sales to get these pieces for half the price!! Nina Dobrev looks very similar to one of Style Icon’s favourite fashion icons Demi Moore who is known for being a famous American actress. Moore starred in Ghost (1990) the highest-grossing film of that year!! she then had a string of box-office successes over the early 1990s with A Few Good Men (1992), Indecent Proposal (1993) and Disclosure (1994).
